How Our Networks Are Different
Our team is connecting underserved areas to fast, reliable, high-speed Internet. MagiNet™ (developed in Alberta by our team) seamlessly use wireless and wired connections to create coverage over, under, and around any sized area without degradation in speed or consistency. Our data pipelines are created in a series of short hops, strategically selected to distribute the data. In some regions, we require homeowners to act as Data Pipeline Relay (DPRL) hosts. A DPRL is a connection point in the network. It could be on a roof of a home, an outbuilding, or other infrastructure on the property, such as a pole. DPRLs are an important part of the network connecting homes that are typically otherwise unreachable.
To deploy a network in Foremost, Alberta we will require DPRL volunteers.

Despite the increasing importance of communications and technology in society, there are still communities in Alberta without access to reliable internet. Mage Networks and ATB Financial are addressing this challenge by bringing Mage's technology and service to Foremost, including free public wi-fi in the town centre for increased accessibility. This partnership supports education, employment and innovation to improve the overall economic prosperity, well-being, and greater good of our province.
